David Gerson (Term ends December, 2018) - Board President
David served as treasurer on the executive board of Springhill Elementary Parent Faculty Club 2008 through 2010 and has been an active parent volunteer at Springhill. David also is a community volunteer and is the Executive Director of Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa, a local non-profit that provides safety net food services to low income county residents. Previously he practiced tax law in Silicon Valley for over 20 years and retired from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in 2009.
He is currently the Board liaison to Lafayette Elementary School and serves on the following Board Committees: Curriculum Council, RAPPORT, School Transportation/Bus JPA, and Policy Review. He also serves on the AIM Ad Hoc Committee and is the Community Liaison
David and wife Stacii moved to Lafayette in 1997 and have twin daughters who attended Springhill Elementary, Stanley Middle School and are now at Acalanes High School.
Teresa Gerringer (Term ends December, 2018) Clerk of the Board
Teresa has served on the Lafayette School District Governing Board since 2000. During that time, Teresa has served three terms as Board President, and has served on all of the Board committees.
Current Board assignments are: Las Trampas Creek Council PTA, Negotiation, RAPPORT, and Communications. She also serves on the Joint City-School District Traffic & Safety Ad Hoc Committee as well as the Board liaison to Happy Valley Elementary.
As an education advocate and community leader, Teresa's current service includes Contra Costa County School Boards Association Vice-President-Programs, Lafayette Community Foundation Board Vice-Chair-Fundraising.
Previous Board service includes: Region 7 Delegate, California School Boards Association; Member, CSBA Legislation Committee; Advisor, CA State PTA Board of Managers; Co-Chair, Yes on E and J Parcel Tax Campaign Committees; Past President, Lafayette Community Foundation; Advisor, Lafayette Chamber of Commerce; Trustee, Lafayette Library & Learning Center; Co-Chair, Lafayette Library & Learning Center Community Campaign; Past President, Las Trampas Creek Council of PTAs; Past Chair, Las Trampas Council of PTAs Legislation Committee; Past President, Lafayette RAPPORT; Past President, Springhill PFC; and Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE, formerly LASF).
Teresa currently works for the California State Senate. Her past employment includes political strategist and community organizer; education consultant with clients such as WestEd; Vice President, Security Pacific Venture Capital, and computer consultant/instructor. She received her MBA from Pepperdine University,and her B.S.-Public Administration from Indiana University. She has been a resident of Lafayette since 1995 with husband Michael and two daughters, who benefitted from our local public schools.
Suzy Pak (Term ends December, 2018)
Suzy has a background of more than 22 years in the asset management industry. She is a native Californian and the product of California public schools. She has a BA in Economics from UC Santa Cruz and an MBA from San Jose State University.
Suzy is an active community volunteer with service on the boards of the Springhill Elementary Parent Faculty Club, the Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation, National Charity League-Acalanes Chapter, the Contra Costa Child Abuse Prevention Council, the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center, the Junior League of San Francisco, Lafayette for Education, and Educate Our State. She served as the Treasurer for the Measure B parcel tax campaign in 2011 and 2014.
Her current Board assignments include Budget, Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE), Benefits, and Negotiations. She is also Board liaison to Burton Valley Elementary School.
She and her husband, Mark Gundacker, moved to Lafayette in 2001, where they reside with their two daughters who have been enrolled in the Lafayette School District since kindergarten.
Mark Kindhouse (Term ends December, 2020)e-mail Mark
Mark is a sitting member of the American Society of Civil Engineer's Government Relations Committee, where he advocates for infrastructure and STEM legislation at the state level. Locally, he works with the City of Lafayette while serving on the Capital Projects Assessments Committee. Previously, he volunteered with the Measure C School Bond that was passed in June, 2016. Mark currently serves as a Cub Scout Leader for Pack 643 here in Lafayette.
His current Board assignments include Communications, Curriculum Council, Benefits, and Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE). He also serves on the Joint City-School District Traffic & Safety Ad Hoc Committee as well as the Board liaison to Stanley Middle School.
Originally from Chicago, Mark relocated to Lafayette by way of Southern California. He now works in management consulting, but spent his years prior working directly on engineering and infrastructure projects in the field. He has a BSCE from North Dakota and a masters from USC.
Mark lives in Lafayette with his wife Jennifer and two children, both of whom are students at Burton Valley Elementary. During the weekends, you can find his family actively engaged in their local church community.
Meredith Meade (Term ends December, 2020)e-mail Meredith
Meredith Meade was elected to the Governing Board in November, 2016.
Meredith has volunteered in Lafayette since her oldest child began kindergarten at Lafayette Elementary in 2006. Her roles have included: Lafayette Elementary School PTA Executive Board (2007-2013; President 2011-2013); Lafayette Partners in Education (2013-2016; President 2014-2016); Rapport (2010-2016; Chair 2013-2014); Rancho Colorados Swim & Tennis Club Board of Directors (Swim Director 2012-2014); and, Lafayette Swim Conference Board of Directors (Secretary 2016-present). She also volunteered for local parcel tax and bond measures, serving as a school site chair in 2011 and a signatory on the ballot in favor of Measure C, the 2016 bond measure passed for the upgrade and retrofit of the district’s schools.
Her current Board assignments include Las Trampas Creek Council PTA, Policy Review, AIM, and Budget. Meredith is also the Board liaison to Springhill Elementary.
Meredith grew up in southern California and attended public schools, graduating from UC Berkeley with a BA in History. Before volunteering and raising her children, Meredith worked for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the College of Letters & Science at UC Berkeley.
Meredith and her husband, Dan, have lived in Lafayette since 1999, and have three children who have been enrolled in the Lafayette School District since kindergarten.
